ENG-TECH Consulting Limited (ENG-TECH) has completed the requested riverbank conceptual remedial plan related to stabilization and erosion protection for the residents of 29, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, 41, 43, 45, 47, 49, 51 & 55 Mager Drive and 41 & 43 Kingston Row in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The purpose of the conceptual remedial plan was to evaluate this reach of the river and provide a conceptual plan to address riverbank instabilities and erosion along the shoreline, and provide both engineering and construction cost estimates of the conceptual plan.
Scope of Work
Based on the above ENG-TECH completed the following scope of work:
- Historical aerial photo review to evaluate impact of erosion and or deposition along the riverbank;
- Site reconnaissance involving photographs of the riverbank failure and measurements at each property;
- Riverbank characterization;
- Assessment of remedial measures;
- Class “C” cost estimates; and
- A report outlining the results of the conceptual remedial plan, including estimated costs for both engineering and construction.
