ENG-TECH Consulting Limited has completed the geotechnical investigations and designs for your properties. The design and work at 484 South Drive will involved infilling the existing tension crack and sloping the bank at an angle of 3 horizontal to 1 vertical. The design and work at 480 South Drive will involve the construction of a concrete retaining wall, with some lower bank regrading. ENG-TECH is requesting that both properties owners agree to the following:
Site access take place between the two properties;
Construction of the above work be considered a joint venture where each property owner is responsible for payment of the work completed on their property, but the work will be completed as a single project to reduce construction costs and a savings to each other;
Construction equipment or supplies could be transferred between each others properties for the benefit of each other; and
Site management will be completed by ENG-TECH for the benefit of both property owners.
ENG-TECH Consulting Limited (ENG-TECH) completed regular inspections and testing during the construction works at the above two locations. Overall, the wall was constructed in accordance with ENG-TECH’s design drawings and specifications. The wall and slope regrading were completed without any major modifications, the minor modifications to the wall and slope were completed in the field under direction from the undersigned. Minor modifications consisted of items such as adjusting the slope angle at the property lines to best fit the field conditions, and a change in angle at the corner of the wall at the west end. All soil excavated from the site which was not considered part of the design was removed and not placed in any other area of the properties. All areas impacted by construction were vegetated, including the area on the south side of the wall. Site access between 480 and 484 South Drive, along with replacement of the deck at 480 South Drive, has also been completed to the undersigns satisfaction.
